On the first day of the convention, families of delegates are welcome to attend the opening ceremonies, then enjoy one of three luncheons, with entertainment, as guests of the International.
All luncheons take place 12:30 — 2:30 p.m. in the rooms indicated below.
Spouses’ Luncheon
Grand Ballroom A-F
Spouses of delegates will be amazed by professional hypnotist Dr. Steve Atwood. A highly respected educator and pioneer in the field of hypnotherapy for over 15 years, Dr. Atwood is also an award-winning, world-class entertainer.
His reputation for blending humor into his national education seminars earned him an invitation to design and perform at “Arizona Live,” a comedy club in Phoenix, where he quickly gained a reputation as a powerful entertainer. Dr. Atwood’s shows are not only hilariously funny, but also intellectually stimulating.
Teens’ Luncheon
St. Croix A
Teens are not allowed on the casino floor, so we are bringing gaming to them in a private casino, complete with professional dealers who will teach them how to play the most popular games.
Every teen will be given coupons redeemable for $500 in “funny money” at the gaming tables. During the event, they can learn when, why, and where to place bets, without risking the loss of real money. Dealers will show one and all how to play blackjack, craps, roulette, and even the latest craze, Texas Hold ‘Em. The World Poker With World Poker Championships all the rage, why not learn to be a card shark?
Children’s Luncheon
St. Croix B
Wacky Willy the Clown will entertain children with a blend of talents including balloon art, face painting, and juggling! An amazing entertainer and long-time Las Vegas performer, the classic clown character is always a hit for young audiences.
Brian Irwin is a professional magician who specializes in entertaining children. A parent himself, Brian provides a highly interactive magic show in which he lets the kids join in the fun, leading them along so they believe they know more than the magician does — until the end of the trick!
