We all know about the industrial revolution. The leap from artisanal, hand-crafted goods to a mechanized workforce was a transition many workers didn’t like. The Luddites were a group who protested the transition, largely due to the number of workers it displaced. But did you know there wasn’t just one industrial revolution, but two? And that Boilermakers were at the heart of it. You can learn about both industrial revolutions at the Boilermaker History Preservation Department section in the Exhibit Hall.
