International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron Ship Builders, Blacksmiths, Forgers, and Helpers, AFL-CIO

32nd Consolidated Convention July 25-28, 2011

131 Years: The Boilermaker Legacy 1880-2011

Exhibit Presents Dramatic Visuals of Boilermaker History

Delegates and guests should take time to see the Boilermakers Heritage Exhibit developed by the Boilermaker History Preservation Department (BHPD). Located in the Milano Ballroom (behind the vendor booths), the exhibit includes two 30-foot x 30-foot free-standing structures displaying archival photos from private donors, the Boilermaker Archives, and the Library of Congress. Images have been digitally remastered, enlarged and printed on various media.

Two 10-foot x 30-foot murals depict timelines in the Boilermakers’ 131-year history. Free-standing kiosks offer “slice of life” photographs of modern Boilermakers and highlight the various skills of our members. The history exhibit also includes slide shows and other attractions as well as a lounge area.

The exhibit opens one hour before convening of the convention each day and closes one hour after adjournment. BHPD staff will be on hand to answer questions and provide other assistance.
